“As far back as I can remember color has been a driving creative force in my life. Color’s importance seemed only to grow as my understanding and ability to mix and create new shades expanded. Once I discovered oil paints, they became my favorite medium. I love everything about them—the luscious color possibilities and the creamy texture which can be built up or smoothed down. I work primarily with brush but am finding palette knife adds greatly to my expressiveness.” ~Mauro

"My earlier work was Zen-like; now, I am an impressionistic painter. My work continues to grow as I am inspired by the Delaware architecture as well as the architecture of Quebec and Italy. I love painting on location as texture, depth and line is what I seek. I have experimented with palette knife and enjoy working with the many layers of color. I like the energy palette knife creates and love the juicy color." ~Tavani | | | | |
